Prince George will most likely accompany the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge when they visit New Zealand next year.

Kensington Palace announced today that Prince William and Catherine will visit New Zealand and Australia in April, after being invited by the respective governments.

"It is anticipated that Prince George will accompany Their Royal Highnesses, but a decision will be made in due course," the palace said.

Their itinerary is still being finalised, but they are expected to visit New Zealand first before travelling on to Australia.

Prime Minister John Key says he is “delighted New Zealand will have the opportunity to welcome the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge”.

Prince William has visited New Zealand four times in the past, but it will be the Duchess of Cambridge’s first visit to the country.

A nine-month-old Prince William accompanied Prince Charles and Diana on their official tour of Australia and New Zealand in 1983. George will be nine months next April.

  7. Katy Perry’s performance at a French awards show was stopped after she was caught lip-synching at a totally different pace than her vocal track.

The host of the 15th annual NRJ awards rushed onto the stage and interrupted the singer midway through her hit song Roar.

"If you don’t mind, you can restart," the host told Perry.

"What do you think? We had a little problem. I’m really sorry to stop all your energy," they added.

Perry obliged and started the song over, singing live for the second attempt.

The superstar released her new album, titled Beyonce, in an unconventional way - she announced and dropped it on the same day.

The album sold more than 80,000 copies in the first three hours after it was released on iTunes, and current sales figures put it on track to become the highest-selling album in its first week by a female artist since Red by Taylor Swift.
